Conceived, planned, and written in partnership with the Centre for Black Studies in Education (CBSE) at OISE-University of Toronto, this unique project features the voices of experts in the field of countering racism in education. Each chapter examines a different aspect of the Black experience and explores ways that educators can meet issues head-on. It encourages teachers to take a leadership role in changing the face of belonging and learning in their classroom, school, and community. A valuable guide to creating classrooms that focus on the wellness and mental health of all students so that learning can flourish.
