Orca Book Publishers is pleased to offer a range of digital products to meet the needs of readers and educators and ensure our books are accessible to as many readers as possible. In addition to print and ebook formats, select titles are also available as narrated "Read-Aloud" ebooks and audiobooks.
Orca produces ebooks with single-user licenses for individuals and multi-user licenses for schools and libraries as part of a digital subscription.

Ebooks
Orca titles are available digitally as ebooks and are accessible through an online reader or the Glassboxx app (Android, iOS).
For board books, picture books, and graphic novels, Orca publishes fixed-format ebooks to ensure our books always look great on readers' devices. For novels, Orca publishes reflowable-format ebooks, which allow readers to adjust the font size to their reading preference.
Ebooks purchased on our website include a single-user licence.

Digital Subscriptions
Orca Digital Subscriptions are a unique, easy and cost-effective way to provide ebooks to an organization, classroom, school or district.
Digital subscriptions include multi-user access (from school or home) to all books in the subscription. Your books can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from school or home using the online reader or the Glassboxx app (Android, iOS).
The online reader and app include accessibility features for users to adjust their reading preferences, such as screen brightness, background color, text size and dyslexia-friendly fonts.
How does it work?
Pre-Built Digital Subscriptions: Orca offers several pre-built digital subscriptions for a range of ages and reading levels. To order a pre-built digital subscription, add it to your shopping cart, check out online, and our digital team will contact you to set up your access. Pre-built subscriptions include access for up to 40 users for one year. We are happy to provide custom quotes for your organization if you require more (or fewer) than 40 user accounts.
Custom Digital Subscriptions: Orca is happy to build custom digital subscriptions to meet the needs of your school or library. Any Orca ebook or audiobook can be included in a digital subscription. Unfortunately, we cannot include titles from our distributed publishers in digital subscriptions.

Q: What's the difference between an ebook and a digital subscription?
A: An ebook is a single license for a single reader. A digital subscription provides ebook and audiobook access for multiple users for a set period of time.

Q: Can I build a custom collection?

Q: Do digital subscriptions include audio?
A: Orca's digital subscriptions can include ebooks and audiobooks. Please note that not all Orca titles are available in audiobook format. See our full list of audiobooks.
Audiobooks
Orca offers audiobooks for many titles, as well as select picture books in a Read-Along format that includes a visual ebook and audio.
Audiobook: Audiobooks include only narration. These can be accessed through the Glassboxx reader or app (Android, iOS).
Read-Along: Read-Along picture books are ebooks that include full text, illustrations and narration. When a book starts, its pages will turn automatically with the narration. Read-Along picture books may require the user to download a specialized ebook program/app. Apple devices can open read-alongs using the iBooks program, but PCs may require additional software.
