Catherine Plante

Catherine Plante, an empathetic and introverted child, was drawn to the arts and environmental protection from an early age. These two passions led her to earn a college diploma in art and a university degree in geography and biology. After ten years working in the environmental field, she returned to her first love: art. Since 2017, she has dedicated herself to her artistic career, specializing in naturalist illustration. Her dual academic background has shaped her into a committed artist whose preferred subject is Quebec’s wildlife and flora. The hope that inspires her work remains the same as when she worked in the environmental sector: to share her love of wild fauna and flora so that viewers feel personally moved to help protect them.
