Josée Bisaillon fell in love with illustration and children’s literature while studying graphic design. Since 2005, her work has been recognized and awarded both nationally and internationally. She has been nominated four times for the Governor General’s Literary Awards and has twice won the Illustration Prize at the Salon du livre de Trois-Rivières—for Ma tête en l’air and Monsieur Tralalère. She is also a finalist for the 2026 Hans Christian Andersen Award. Her illustrations—an imaginative blend of drawing and collage—transport readers into a poetic world filled with whimsy, color, and gentle charm.
