Joaquin Camp

Joaquín Camp was born in Buenos Aires. As a child, his grandmother would read him stories by Oscar Wilde and stories of Greek mythology. He studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires, and later instructed illustration classes. As an illustrator, he has worked for publishers in Argentina, Spain, Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Saudi Arabia. His work was selected for the illustrators sample at the Bologna Children's and Youth Book Fair in 2019 and 2020. His work was also part of the Ibero-American Catalog in 2016 and in 2020. In 2020, he won the International Illustrated Album Award for the Biblioteca Insular de Gran Canaria with his book Aníbal, el perro fantasma. He has exhibited his illustrations in Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Peru and Japan, among others. He currently resides and works in the city of Madrid, Spain.
