Amberlea Williams

Amberlea Williams is a picture book illustrator and author, graphic designer and yoga instructor living in Ottawa with her husband, son and two cats. She enjoys illustrating in traditional media, specifically gouache and pencil crayon, sometimes combining with digital collage. Amberlea studied studio arts at the University of Guelph and graphic design at Durham College. After many years of working as a graphic designer in agencies large and small, she pivoted to freelance after a seven-month backpacking trip around Southeast Asia, during which she studied yoga in Rishikesh, India. Amberlea enjoys hiking, cycling, weight lifting and getting out into nature whenever she can.
