Jana York

Jana York, MS, has been a children’s mindfulness educator and mindfulness practitioner for more than a decade. She has conducted research and written on mindfulness. York is the author of U Is for Understanding: Claire’s Journey toward Mindfulness, a chapter book designed to introduce mindfulness and social-emotional learning to children. The activities are based on her training and teaching to adults and students in various cultures around the globe. Her passion is teaching children how to reduce anxiety and self-regulate while being in the present moment. She is an avid practitioner of mindfulness in her personal life.
