Joaquin Camp

Joaquín Camp studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires and later instructed illustration classes. His work has been published in many languages, including Spanish, Italian, Korean, Dutch and English. His illustrations were selected for the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s and Youth Book Fair four times. Joaquín's picture book A Sleepless Night, written by Micaela Chirif, was named a 2024 Mildred L Batchelder Honor Book and a 2025 USBBY Outstanding International Book. His illustrations have been exhibited in Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Peru and Japan, among others. His book Aldo: Ghost Dog was reviewed positively in the Wall Street Journal and also got a starred Kirkus Review. Joaquín currently resides and works in Madrid.
